Welcome to the Sierra Vista Soccer Club

The new season is upon us and we are getting ready for another successful season.  Please continue to check back as we add more information.  You can also check us out on Facebook.

Team Notifications

The SVSC Board is trying to finalize team formations.  As soon as this is done, we will give the coaches their team rosters and they will contact parents/players.  Some teams still do not have coaches.  The Board is trying to find more coaches.  If you hear of other players being contacted, please be patient.  Your coach will contact you at the email address and/or phone number you registered your child with.  If a coach does not contact you by August 31, please email the board for assistance.  Make sure you include your child's full name and age bracket.  We need the full name as many children's last names do not match the last name of the parent asking for assistance.

Coaches determine practice days, times, and locations.  The Board has nothing to do with determining practices.  Once uniforms are ready for distribution, we will give them to the coaches.  They will give them to the players.  You will only need to bring cleats, shin guards, and water (or other drinks).  You can also bring a ball (U6 & U8 size 3, U10 & U12 size 4, U14 & U19 size 5).

Registration for the 2016-2017 Season is Closed

You can still register your player, but they may be wait listed as we are now forming teams.  Registrations are now done online.  If your child never played before, you will need to upload their birth certificate for age verification.  Please follow the information below to register.

The online registration link for the fall 16-17 season is here.

If you don’t know your credentials to logon, follow one of these processes.

a. Go to Gotsport and follow the hyperlink for either “Player Account Lookup” or “Family Account Lookup."
b. If you don’t have access to the email address used previously, contact the SVSC registrar at registrar@svsoccer.net to update your email address or have your password reset.

If you create a duplicate account, it will not include your player history.  You will be treated as a new player and requests will not be honored.  New players who have not played soccer previously in Arizona, go to the same link and create a new account.  The player’s birth date will need to be verified by uploading a copy of the birth certificate to the player account or mailing it to the registrar at:
SVSC Registrar, P.O. Box 757, Sierra Vista, AZ  85636.

This year's fees are:
U6 & U8 $55.00
U10 and up $75.00
There is a one-time family discount of $5.00 for 2 or more players registered from the same family, but you must set up a family account in order for the system to enter the discount.

Please make certain you enter any player or coaching requests when prompted during registration.  There is a process we must follow in forming teams guided by our bylaws, so there is no guarantee requests will be fulfilled.

Player age brackets in the United States were changed for the 2016-2017 season.  They are now based on the year the child was born. Players born before 2012 are eligible to play in the SVSC.  The new calendar year age bracket chart (Birth Year & Season Matrix) for the 2016/2017 season is on the Forms & Info page.

If your child will be playing on a competitive travel team, they are still required to register online.  Once the team coach delivers a team roster to the Registrar, the Registrar will place them on their team.

If you have any questions, please contact the SVSC Registrar at registrar@svsoccer.net.

Coaches Needed for the 2016-2017 Season

Calling all Coaches!! We are looking for volunteer coaches to help coach teams in this year's fall season. We understand not everyone has the time or some feel they are not qualified. We ask that you please consider coaching and as a Club we will do everything possible to help our coaches mentor the youth in our community as best possible. Please follow the information below to register as a coach. If you have any additional questions on what is expected or what it involves to be a coach, please contact the Club President at president@svsoccer.net.

Sierra Vista Soccer Club Coach & Manager Registration Fall 16-17

1. All registration is online. The process includes concurring with mandatory AYSA policies and submitting a new annual background check. Approval of the background check is required to coach or manage.

2. You must have the username and password for your coach account before you proceed. Every previous coach already has a Got Soccer coach account. Please do not create duplicate accounts. These have to be manually merged by the registrar and some of your information may be lost. If you don’t know your credentials, follow one of these processes: a. Go to https://www.gotsport.com/asp/users/login_menu.asp?tab=member and follow the hyperlink under “Teams and Team Officials” for either “Coach Account Lookup” or “Manager Account Lookup”. b. If you don’t have access to the email address used previously, contact the SVSC registrar at registrar@svsoccer.net to update your email address or have your password reset. If you have both a coach and manager account, these are linked and you just need to register once with the coach account. You only need to do one background check.

Rule Change - Regarding Heading the Ball

With the announcement of the Concussion Lawsuit Resolution by U.S. Soccer on the 9th of November, Arizona Youth Soccer Association (AYSA) is making the following changes with regards to heading of the ball.  These changes are effective immediately.

Under-10 & below age-groups:

  • No player in any age group from U-10 and below, including the U-10 age group, will be allowed to head a ball in any activity sanctioned by AYSA.  This includes any and all practices, matches, and training activities.  Affected persons shall include all players in the above-mentioned age groups who are members of AYSA, its member leagues, clubs, affiliates, and tournaments.
  • This heading rule will pertain to the use of any and all types of balls, regardless of construction, size, material, or hardness.
  • AYSA hereby instructs all sanctioned events to add the following into its event rules:  "No heading in age groups U-10 and below is allowed.  If, during the course of a match, a header is performed, play will be stopped and will resume with an indirect kick for the opposing team."
  • AYSA hereby instructs all sanctioned entities (clubs, leagues, etc.), to place into effect a similar rule banning heading during practices, training, etc.

Under-11 through Under-13 age-groups: Upon release of the actual policy from US Soccer, AYSA will institute additional requirements for these age groups.
